If you’re in the market for a stonker of a Holden Commodore that packs a punch, then both the VE Series II and the VF are worth a look. These two Commodores share some ripper features that make them true blue performers.
Under the bonnet, both these beauties sport the legendary 6.0-litre Gen 4 (LS2) MPFi engine. This thing’s a real grub, chucking out a whopping 270kW of power. That means you’ll be putting a fair suck on the shellac with a grin on your face. To handle all that grunt, both Commodores come with a smooth 6-speed transmission, so you’ll be changing gears like a pro.
While they share those sweet engine and gearbox combos, the VF might have some extra bells and whistles if that’s what you’re after. Either way, you can’t go wrong with the raw power and fair dinkum driving experience these Commodores offer.
Why Choose a Mantic Track Multi-plate Clutch Kit?
Performance Clutch Systems typically involve an increase in clamp load and/or use of aggressive friction material to achieve higher torque capacity. However there is a practical limit – Increasing clamp load by more than 20% can put the vehicle’s hydraulic system under stress, significantly reducing clutch system life and resulting in very high clutch pedal actuation effort. And the use of aggressive friction material will noticeably reduce driveability. Enter the benefits of a Mantic multi-plate clutch system. A 9″ Twin Plate Mantic Track system has the same effective surface area as an 18 single plate clutch, and a 9 Triple Plate Mantic Track system equates to 27. So increasing clamp load is no longer a priority as the significantly larger surface area creates a massive torque capacity increase.
All Clutch Systems in the Mantic Track Series features:
Lower Moment Of Inertia(MOI) To Increase Acceleration.-Dynamometer Tested.
Field-Tested On Both Street And Track.
ISO9001 Quality Certified.
Modular Designs As Well As Many Direct Fit Applications.
Available in the Mantic 9000 Series (9”/230mm diameter), the track twin cerametallic disc kit can hold over 2,050Nm of torque.
All direct fit kits include a lightened steel flywheel which along with the aluminum cover, provides a lightweight solution that helps increase acceleration.
