The name Camaro was derived from Heath’s French and English Dictionary as a term that translated to “friend” or “comrade.” GM product managers told reporters that the term also meant “a small, vicious animal that eats Mustangs,” and the stage was set for the rivalry. Since then, every Camaro built has had a single goal: to beat the Mustang. It’s the most heated and long-lasting automotive rivalry in America, if not the world. The Camaro is a high-performance vehicle. It has retro looks, power in all forms, natural agility, and track capability. If you treat your Camaro like a regular car and keep up with maintenance, it should last 150,000 miles or more. However, with proper maintenance and overall care, many Camaros can travel over 200,000 miles in their lifetime.
General Motors developed the 6.2-liter V8 Supercharged LSA engine for use in high-performance vehicles. More than just raw power, the LSA combines it with exceptional refinement. Everything from the pistons to the aesthetically pleasing engine cover was carefully chosen and tuned for quiet but efficient performance. It allows a wide power band with nearly imperceptible operation.

Why Would You Need a Performance Clutch?
The ability to customize your car’s ride is a less tangible but no less important reason to install a high-performance clutch. You get a performance boost as well as unique, race-inspired shifting that sets your car apart from every other stock version on the road. But it’s not just about shorter throws. Performance clutches hold higher torque capacity with better engagement and faster shifting.
Why Choose a Mantic Track Multi-plate Clutch Kit?
Our performance clutch systems typically involve an increase in clamp load and/or use of aggressive friction material to achieve higher torque capacity. However there is a practical limit – Increasing clamp load by more than 20% can put the vehicle’s hydraulic system under stress, significantly reducing clutch system life and resulting in very high clutch pedal actuation effort. And the use of aggressive friction material will noticeably reduce drivability. Enter the benefits of a Mantic multi-plate clutch system. A 9″ Twin Plate Mantic Track system has the same effective surface area as an 18 single plate clutch, and a 9 Triple Plate Mantic Track system equates to 27. So increasing clamp load is no longer a priority as the significantly larger surface area creates a massive torque capacity increase.
All Clutch Systems in the Mantic Track Series features:
Lower Moment Of Inertia(MOI) To Increase Acceleration.-Dynamometer Tested.
Field-Tested On Both Street And Track.
ISO9001 Quality Certified.
Modular Designs As Well As Many Direct Fit Applications.
Available in the Mantic 9000 Series (9”/230mm diameter), the track twin cerametallic disc kit can hold over 2,050Nm of torque.
All direct fit kits include a lightened steel flywheel which along with the aluminum cover, provides a lightweight solution that helps increase acceleration.
